Jane will be sharing her journey to discover details about her father’s WWII war art that he produced while serving as a photographer in the 39th Reconnaissance Wing of the RCAF, as they progressed through the liberation route in Europe.
Her presentation will feature many of her father’s paintings and drawings, reconnaissance photographs and highlights from her four trips to Europe following in her father’s footsteps. Her trip to the Netherlands included the honour of presenting an original 1944 pencil sketch done by her father in Eindhoven, Holland to Princess Margriet. Jane has published a book called World War II Through An Unseen Lens, The Life, Service and Art of John Fleetwood-Morrow.
Copies of Jane’s book will be available at the meeting at the cost of $50.00 (tax included), payable by cash or cheque.
In 1968 he founded the Blue hills academy for troubled children with mental health issues.
In 1978, the Ontario Department of Indian affairs hired fred to manage the Native community Branch for the Ontario government.
1998 saw Fred and his wife leave our tropical Ontario climes for Costa Rica, where he has been involved with charity work for 18 years.
In the year 2000, Fred joined the United Nations for work in Kosovo and Serbia.
Fred is a ‘Birder’, likes to play golf and pickle ball and is a world traveller. Thanks for sharing some of your experiences with us.
